Both projects are set within a technological component that integrates the latest data communications with mobile positioning systems GPS (Global Positioning System). Although the technologies are not recent, their integration into a single box was only possible recently. Based on these technological advances, ThinkDigital ® has developed a new computing platform capable of monitoring thousands of location devices that will support both projects mentioned in the statement: trackingDIARY ® and POSI-SAT ®.

This participation is very relevant because of its social and public safety componement. In the project POSI-SAT ® are streamlined protection technologies for vehicles such as cars or motorcycles. These technologies allow owners to follow the vehicles in real time on the Internet and in case of theft, they can also block the motor vehicle remotely, thereby inhibiting the escape of the burglar. This project has as main component the reduction of social violent assaults on vehicles and decrease the recent phenomenon of carjacking.

The social aspect of trackingDIARY ® is quite different from the previous project, and is fully geared to people and not for vehicles. Through the technology provided by trackingDIARY ® is now possible for parents to follow their child throughout the day on the Internet at their workplace. It is hoped that this type of technology can reduce the abductions of children which have increased, thereby preventing tragic stories like the famous case of the girl Maddie McCann in Algarve.
Another model that is available in this project is fully oriented to the elderly. Through this technology a senior in an emergency can trigger a panic button of the equipment that automatically makes a call to 112, the european number for emergencies. As the tracking equipment also works as a phone, even the emergency medical technicians can communicate with the elderly by speakerphone and also access the geographic position by GPS. Thus, both the warning is given faster (through the panic button) and the assistance is made more accurately (through the GPS position coordinates sent by the device).
Based on this emerging technology that ThinkDigital ® is working on these two projects, in addition to high technology, have a very important social meaning today. ThinkDigital® will open in September 2009 a business center this time in the metropolitan area of Porto, Gaia. The new office will be located in the Inova.Gaia park for technological development where the company's presence in the North area of the country. This new center has the primary aim of boosting the company at the North zone but also the creation of a new 'Integration-Site' in which it will proceed with the integration of new products from both ThinkDigital ® Networks and ThinkDigital ® Telematics.

This investment was based on the development protocols in the city of Gaia, which has an important social aspect in particular as regards the creation of new specialized staff in engineering and information technologies.

The inauguration of this new area of technological development in Gaia expects the presence of some senior executives of the government promoting the public investment and the creation of wealth in the region.
